Pastors Ron and Mary Ann Adams' BiographyMary Ann Adams was born in Hartford, Connecticut. The first of 4 children to Richard and Dolores Levesque, who were the first U.S. born generation in their families, originally French Canadian. Mary Ann grew up in Manchester, Connecticut, enjoying the outdoors, swimming, horses, camping and loving people. When she met the Lord in 1978, He told her to go to the west coast where she would be married. Borrowing $50.00 from her brother Rick, she took a Greyhound bus and ended up in Renton, Washington, leaving behind a lifestyle common to the 1970's. The Lord introduced her to Christian service through an organization called Young Life where she served at Hazen High School for 2 years. Also on the Hazen Young Life team, was Ron Adams, whom she married April 18, 1981. They have had five children, and traveled many places together, serving Jesus, educating their children and enjoying life. Ron Adams was born in Renton, Washington to John and Emily Adams. Ron, the middle of 3 children, grew up in Renton, active on swim team, and became an avid and successful fisherman and hunter. He was part of the University of Washington Crew team, and enjoyed many early morning hours on Lake Washington rowing the peaceful waters. He began in Emergency Services in the Fire Department in 1979. In 1982, he completed schooling to become a Paramedic. He began his career working in Oklahoma City which would become an invaluable source of experience given the intensity of the EMS calls experienced there. Ron and Mary Ann have lived several places, but one of the most special, was Lawrence, Kansas, where God taught them about love, church family, and Himself. God spoke to them, calling them back to the Northwest. This was not an easy decision, but the Lord had promised a house in the woods, if they would go. Eventually, they found property in a place called Cle Elum, Washington. Ron brought plans for a house home one day, and it was Mary Ann's dream home. In 1992, Ron and Mary Ann’s Dad built their home. In 1998, they answered the call to begin a church, and soon bought a building on Power Street. God’s presence continues to linger upon their lives in very specific and directional ways. Ron has now been in Emergency Services for 27 years. This has been a brutal and challenging lifestyle. Ron has been a Paramedic for 24 of those 27 years which is not the norm in that field. There have been many miracles logged in heaven during his career, but also many difficult moments of heart break, which would be one of the driving forces in Ron and Mary Ann’s ministry together. This proves to bring a reality not usually found in church ministry… that people are dying out there… a lot. Ron’s true love in Emergency Services is the Fire Service, in which he also excels greatly, and is a Captain in the Fire Department and also trains firefighters at the Washington State Fire Academy. In June 2004, Ron summited Mt. Rainier, and enjoyed the Presence of the Lord and the glorious view of the surrounding mountains.
